Sports Massage Treatment

This is a popular method used to treat soft tissue injuries (muscle tears, ligament injuries and tendon strains). This is a couch-based treatment using a variety of treatment techniques to assist recovery and reduce pain, including: deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, Muscle Energy Technique (MET).  This type of treatment is suitable for anyone with these kinds of injuries – you don’t have to be sporty to need a sports massage!

Appointments with Sarah may also incorporate CranioSacral treatment where required.

Injury Rehab Treatment

This is designed for anyone with soft tissue injuries that occur as a result of sports and occupational activities. Injuries that affect both amateur and professional sports people often fall into the categories of muscle tears, ligament injuries and tendon strains.

  • Deep tissue massage
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
  • Soft tissue manipulation
  • Pilates rehab exercises

With each consultation, exercise programmes may be given to increase the recovery rate and rehabilitation back to peak fitness. Where appropriate, ultrasound therapy is used to aid recovery. Injuries may also be taped and strapped to provide additional support post-treatment.

Repetitive Strain Injury

RSI is a common problem for anyone with repetitive movement patterns at in sport, work or home. We offer ongoing treatments for this chronic condition, providing a treatment plan for pain relief and the prevention of further muscle damage.



The first consultation takes approximately 1 hour. During this consultation we will take a full case history and assessment of your condition so that a thorough diagnosis can be made.


Your treatment plan will be designed according to the results of your consultation. Your practitioner will discuss the details with you to ensure you fully understand the treatment being offered. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to at all stages of your consultation and treatment.


It is a good idea to bring loose clothing such as shorts and t-shirt wear during your treatment. It is also helpful to bring your trainers or sporting footwear along to your first appointment to assist the diagnosis of your injury.


If you have information relevant to your injury such as MRI scan, X-Ray results or referral letters please bring these with you to your appointment as this will also maximise the use of your time with us.
